Ken Jennings Tuesday Trivia - July 31

I gave in to temptation and joined Ken Jennings's Tuesday Trivia challenge. He sends seven questions each Tuesday. As he says, it would take about 30 seconds to Google the answers to the first six questions. Contestants are on the honor system not to peek and only to send in the answers they knew off the top of your head. I'll post my answers/guesses now and update with the correct answers next week.

1. What famous club, whose first chapter formed in San Bernardino in 1948, borrowed the World War II nickname for the 303rd Bombardment Group? no idea - Moose Lodge? correct answer - Hell's Angels (I did not think of them as a club)
2. What's the largest of the Society Islands? Tahiti
3. What's the first fruit to appear in the Pac-Man maze? a guess - pineapple? cherry
4. What movie was Tom Cruise promoting when he decided to "jump the couch" on Oprah? War of the Worlds
5. What color ribbon is worn to promote breast cancer awareness? pink
6. Members of what nation's police force must, by law, be citizens of Switzerland? Vatican City
7. What unusual distinction is shared by these people? John Barrymore, Charlie Chaplin, Charles I of England, Alistair Cooke, Joseph Haydn, Gram Parsons, Eva Peron, and Laurence Sterne. Gram Parsons and Eva Peron helped me get the answer. They all had their body (or part of their body) stolen after death.

LAST WEEK'S ANSWERS
1. What TV series closes with a logo for "30th Century Fox"? I believe Futurama is the only Fox show ever set in the 30th century. (Legion of Super Heroes is on the CW.)
2. What did Shane Stant do on January 6, 1994 that got him a four-year prison sentence? He was the assailant who kneecapped Nany Kerrigan.
3. What hit song did Quincy Jones want to rename, fearing that everyone would assume it was about the tennis superstar? "Billie Jean" is, apparently, not Billie Jean King. She's just a girl who claims that I am the one.
4. What scoop out cirques, coombs, and corries? Glaciers do. Just very slowly.
5. The island in the middle of Victoria Falls is named for what famous Scotsman? David Livingstone (of "I presume" fame), who "discovered" the Falls.
6. Who hosts the "Mad-Tea Party" in Alice in Wonderland? it is not the Mad Hatter; it's the March Hare. In the preceding chapter, Alice has a choice between visiting the Mad Hatter's house and the March Hare's house, and she chooses the Hare.
7. What distinction is shared by these ten U.S. states and no others? Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia. They all have Monopoly properties named for them. In fact, Illinois Avenue is the most landed-upon property on the gameboard.
